Smithville resident Jerry Wayne Hutchins Sr., 66, died Dec. 10 at Saint Thomas Hospital.An employee of Yorozu of Tennessee and a member of Emmanuel Bread of Life, he was the son of Everett and Louise Hutchens. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister Annie Hutchens, brother Herbert Hutchens, and mother-in-law Mary Frances Foster.He is survived by his wife of 47 years Doretta Hutchins of Smithville, children and their spouses Jerry and Laura Hutchins Jr., of Dowelltown, and Jerretta and Terry Certain of Murfreesboro, grandchildren Joel Certain of Knoxville, David Hutchins of Liberty, Katlin and Kristen Hutchins of Dowelltown, and Grace Certain of Murfreesboro, sisters and brother-in-law Dorothy Baines, Pauline Hutchens, Rita Wall, and Mary and Jay Young, all of Smithville, brother and sister-in-law Edward and Janie Hutchins of Smithville.Funeral service is Saturday at 11 a.m. at Love-Cantrell Funeral Home with pastor Roger Grisham officiating. Burial will follow at Whorton Springs Cemetery.
