Mr. Jerry Thomas Cantrell, 78, passed away at his residence in Smithville, March 11. 

He was born Nov. 18, 1942 to his parents, the late Ray Lee and Josephine Washer Cantrell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister Glenda Buchanan. He attended Calvary Baptist Church and was a truck driver and a farmer.  

He is survived by son Jerry Lynn “Butch” (Kristi) Cantrell of McMinnville, daughter Tina (Elize) Blakely of Kentucky, son-in-law Stanley Holland of Murfreesboro, grandchildren Logan and Adam Cantrell of McMinnville, Jason Holland of Murfreesboro, Kevin Holland of South Carolina, Ethan Beasley, Rowan and Teegan Miller, Ryder Miller, Kayla Adams, Brayden Miller, great-grandchild Ryan Thomas, and special friend Margie Miller of Smithville. 

A graveside service was Saturday, March 13, at DeKalb Memorial Gardens at 12 p.m. noon.  

DeKalb Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
