Jennifer Hayes Laxson Starkey, 60, a Morrison resident and McMinnville native, was born April 2, 1956 and died March 18 at her residence following an extended illness.She was a homemaker, member of Morrison United Methodist Church, and daughter of the late Bill Houston Laxson and Elise Hayes Laxson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by son, Jesse Hayes Nash.She is survived by husband Dwight Starkey; daughters and son-in-law Lesley Nash Bernhardt of McMinnville and Lacey and Josh Jackson of Christiana; grandchildren Ethan Hayes Bernhardt, Lukas Nash Bernhardt, Eadey Elise Bernhardt and Kalley Bernhardt; father of grandchildren, Andy Bernhardt; stepchildren and spouses, Shannon and Joey Haston of McMinnville, Laura and Traeton McCoy and Jonathan and Allana Starkey, all of Viola, and Andrea and Jason Guzak of Austin, Texas; and step-grandchildren, Madelin Haston, Jalen Haston, Ella McCoy, Elyas Guzak, Isaac Guzak, Mea Starkey, Caysen Starkey and James Starkey.Funeral service was Tuesday at Morrison United Methodist Church with Lannie Johnson and Ann Eades officiating. In lieu of flowers, a trust fund will be set up for her grandchildren’s education at Homeland Community Bank.
