Centertown resident and Warren County native James Hovah Cantrell, 78, was born June 17, 1935 and died Oct. 27 at St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville following a brief illness.A retired employee of Magnetek and member of Centertown Church of Christ, he was the son of the late James Aaron and Lena Myrtle Cantrell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Aaron Cantrell.Mr. Cantrell was married to Myra Cantrell of Centertown. In addition to his wife, he survived by a son, Mark Cantrell of Centertown; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Silas and Brenda Cantrell, Paul and Sally Cantrell and David Cantrell, all of McMinnville, and Donald and Helen Cantrell of Woodbury; four sisters, Elizabeth Luna, Ruth Redmon and Louise Rains, all of McMinnville, and Rose Mondary of Indiana, and several nieces and nephews.A graveside service and interment will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Unity Cemetery with Doris Hughes officiating.
