James Gordon Crouch, 71


Warren County resident and native James Gordon Crouch, 71, was born June 5, 1952 and died April 9, 2024 at St. Thomas River Park Hospital following an extended illness.

A Vietnam veteran of the United States Army, mechanic and member of the Baptist Church, he was the son of the late James Edward and Inez Cantrell Crouch. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers-in-law, Eddy Neely and Danny Owen.

Mr. Crouch is survived by son, Daniel (Becky) Crouch of Shelbyville; daughter, Bobbie Dell Crouch Smith of McMinnville; grandchildren, Megan Elizabeth Faye Smith, Katherine Theresa Dell  Smith, Haleigh Danielle Crouch, Mary Allison Crouch, Thomas Dylan Crouch and David Tanner Crouch; five great-grandchildren; brother, Edward Anthony "Tony" (Sheryl) Crouch of the Centertown community; three sisters, Sandi Owen, Bonnie Neely and Stephanie Crouch McCormick all of McMinnville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Per Mr. Crouch's wishes, he was cremated. Graveside memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday April 14 at Shady Grove Cemetery in Coffee County with Walter Lance officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at High's.
