J. Clarence DeWeese Sr., 88, of Donelson died Oct. 22. A recipient of two Purple Heart awards and a Bronze Star during World War II, he was held as a prisoner of war. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce DeWeese and son, Harold DeWeese.
