Ila Vae Boren, 86, of McMinnville died Tuesday, Oct. 1 at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia.
She was born Jan. 19, 1927, in McMinnville and was a homemaker, and a member of Northside Baptist Church. Mrs. Boren was preceded in death by her parents Virgil and Julia Mae Mitchell Hutchins; her husband, Alva Robie Boren; daughter, Euvonda Elaine Myers; grandson, Greg Myers, and brother Rayton Hutchins.
Ila Vae enjoyed gardening and quilting and was for many years an avid participant in home demonstration clubs in Warren County.
Survivors include her sons, Ivin Norris Boren and Max Elton Boren and wife Marsha; son-in-law, Bill Myers; brother and sister-in-law, Norm and Madge Hutchins; grandchildren, Jason (Kirsten) Myers, Stephanie (Jason) Parson, Holly Elizabeth Boren, John Boren, Gina Boren, Luke (Jenna) Boren, and Lori (Gabe) Bennett; and great-grandchildren, Chris, Gage, William, and McKenna Myers, Eston and Emma Parson, Cecilia Boren, and Scarlet Bennett.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Michael Carr will officiate. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery. The Boren family will receive friends Friday from 4 to 7 p.m., and again Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m. at the parlors of McMinnville Funeral Home.
