Humphrey Davis McCormick Jr., 71, a McMinnville resident and Warren County native, was born Dec. 15, 1949 and died April 9 at Saint Thomas Rutherford following an extended illness.
He was a U.S. Marine, a former inspector with Carrier Corporation, a member of Liberty Cumberland Presbyterian Church, and the son of the late H.D. and Tellie Brady McCormack. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers and sister-in-law, Garnett McCormack and Arlen and Delores McCormick, sister and brother-in-law JoAnn and Bill Page, and brothers-in-law George Paquette and Gary Gooch.
Mr. McCormick is survived by two sons, Brian McCormick and fiancee’ Lisa Brady of McMinnville, and John Rigsby of Johnson City, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, brother and sister-in-law William and Betty McCormack of McMinnville, and sisters and brothers-in-law Johnnie Sue and Leroy Simerly and Carline and Charlie Butts, both of Quebeck, and Patsy Paquette of McMinnville. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Graveside service and interment was held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, April 12, at Smyrna Cemetery in Warren County with Bill Walkup officiating. Military grave rites were conducted by American Legion Post 173 and VFW Post 5064. Online condolences may be made at www.highfuneralhome.com.
