Harold Eugene Pack Sr., 78, of Smithville died Monday at River Park Hospital.
He was a Baptist and served in the U.S. Army. He was also a set-up man, machinist, and a truck driver. Pack was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Virginia Pedigo Pack; son, Steve Pack; brothers, Jim, Furman, Herman, and Othel Pack; and sisters, Katie Pack and Emma Butler.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Barnes Pack of Smithville; seven children, Shirl and husband Tiny Barnes of Smithville; June Riebe of Baton Rouge, La.; Harold E. Jr. and wife Paulette Pack of Westmoreland; Patricia Stokes of Leesburg, Fla.; James and wife Pam Barnes of Centertown; and Rick and wife Cynthia Barnes of Smyrna; 10 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and sister, Sue Anderson of Detroit, Mich.
The funeral will be today at 11 a.m. at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Royce Martin and Michael Hale will officiate. Burial will follow at Bonham Cemetery. Visitation will be today from 9 a.m. until the service.
