Hannah Ashlin Disbro Posthumus, 19

Rock Island resident and Putnam County native Hannah Ashlin Disbro Posthumus, 19, was born Feb. 2, 1995 and died Oct. 2 at her residence following a one-year illness from childhood cancer.
An employee of Burger King, a graduate of F.C. Boyd Christian School and member of Day Spring Community Church and Friendship the Baptist Church, she was born to David James Disbro and Pamela Rutledge Disbro Davis. She was married June 28, 2014 to Zach “Pookie” Posthumus of Rock Island. She is also survived by other parents, Machelle (David) Disbro of Viola and Keith (Pam) Davis of Rock Island; special friend, Michael West of Cookeville; brother, Justin David Disbro of Rock Island; sister and brother-in-law, Amber and Kenny Gott of Roseville, Calif.; maternal grandparents, Bobby and Lola Rutledge of Rock Island, and Reba Steakley of Rock Island; paternal grandparents, James and Eva Lynne Disbro of Ooltewah, Juan and Eileen Gomez of East Ridge, Juanita Disbro of Chattanooga, Joanne Voigt of Fortuna, Calif., and Joann Davis of Woodbury; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends also survive.
She was preceded in death by grandfather, Garey Truman Steakley.
Funeral service was held Saturday, Oct. 4 at Friendship the Baptist Church with Jason Brown officiating. Burial followed at Friendship Cemetery.
