Gladys Pike, 71, a McMinnville resident and Franklin County native, died Sept. 26 at NHC Healthcare, McMinnville following a sudden illness. She was a retired employee of A.O. Smith, a member of the Methodist Church, and daughter of the late Gilbert McBride and Ida Mae Tosh Martin.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Richard and James Martin, an infant brother and sister and companion, George Simons.Mrs. Pike is survived by sister, Margaret (Larry) Abston of McMinnville; brothers, Robert (Christine) Martin of McMinnville and G.A. (Kathy) Martin of Morrison; sisters-in-law, Jeanett Martin and Debbie Martin of McMinnville. Several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends also survive.
