George “Bud” Leonard, 58, a McMinnville resident and Houston, Texas native, died Nov. 8 at his residence following a four-year illness.
An employee of Ben Lomand Telephone Cooperative and a United States Army veteran, he was the son of Kathy Huston of Temecula, Calif. He was married Aug. 15, 1980 to Kimberly Leonard of McMinnville. In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by son, Scott (Carly) Leonard of McMinnville; daughter, Brandy Leonard (Larry Tittsworth) of McMinnville; grandchildren, Jathan Tittsworth, Savanna Leonard, Halie Leonard and Gavin Leonard; brother, Jim (Trish) Huston of Descanso, Calif., and sister, Sharon Huston (Phillip Acosta) of Carlsbad, Calif.
His maternal grandmother, Margaret Westhead, preceded him in death.
Funeral service will be at High's Chapel at 1 p.m. Friday with chaplain Joe Reynolds officiating. Interment will follow at Morrison Cemetery with military grave rites administered by VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173.
Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, and Friday from 11 a.m. until time of service at High's.
