Eva Faye Nunley, 75, a Rock Island resident and Warren County native, was born Jan. 15, 1944 and passed away Oct. 2 at her residence following an extended illness.

She was a self-employed beautician of Faye’s Hairstyling Center, a member of the Church of Christ, and the daughter of the late William H. and Lorene McCormick Newby.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother Douglas Newby and sister-in-law Rhonda Newby.

She was married to Paul Dwight Nunley of Rock Island on Feb. 3, 1973 who survives. Mrs. Nunley is also survived by brother Wendell Newby and Susan Grandey of McMinnville, sisters-in-law Hilda Martin of McMinnville, and Georgia Knight of Grundy County, several nieces and nephews, and friend, Dean Talbert of McMinnville.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, at High’s Chapel with Stephen Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Centertown Cemetery in McMinnville. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at High’s. Online condolences can be made at www.highfuneralhome.com.
