Emma Jean Butcher Cole, 82

Eastside community resident and Warren County native Emma Jean Butcher Cole, 82, was born Feb. 12, 1931 and died Nov. 18 at St. Thomas Midtown Hospital in Nashville following a three-day illness.A retired supervisor at Formfit Rogers and a member of Pioneer Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Thurman and Bessie Whiteaker Butcher. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by daughter, Debbie Studer; sister, Geneva Warren; two brothers, Alton and Rabon Butcher; and two brothers-in-law, James T. Crawford and Ray Warren.She is survived by grandson, Paul Studer of Rock Island; sister, Minnie Willene Crawford; brother and sister-in-law, Clinton and Irene Butcher; and several nieces and nephews.Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in High’s Chapel with David Daugherty officiating. Burial will follow at Smyrna Cemetery.
