Elwood Horace “Woody” Miller Jr., 82, of Rock Island died Friday, Oct. 11 at NHC Healthcare in McMinnville. Born in Mount Holly, N.J., he was a resident of New Egypt, N.J., and Whiting, N.J., before moving to Tennessee seven years ago.Woody served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, and he was a retired chemist with Stauffer Chemical in Yardville, N.J., and also Hooker Chemical. He also operated Pyramid Stained Glass Studio in New Egypt, N.J., for 15 years.
