McMinnville resident and Ogden, Kan., native Edna Pennington, 82, was born Dec. 19, 1931 and died May 14 at her residence following an extended illness.
A homemaker, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Garland and Mary Weeks Powers. She was married to Ret. U.S. Army Sgt. Millard James Pennington, who preceded her in death Jan. 29, 1973. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, James Travis Bouldin and son-in-law, Arzy Ralph Bouldin.
Mrs. Pennington is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Bruce and Judy Pennington of Gallatin, Doug and Sandy Pennington of Florida, and Don Pennington of McMinnville; three daughters, Tina Pennington, Cindy Bouldin and June McCarty, all of McMinnville; stepdaughter, Charlotte Baumann of Germany; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, several step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church with Rev. James Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Trousdale Cemetery. Visitation will be held from noon until time of service Friday at First United Methodist Church.
High Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
