Edith Davis Medlen, 82, of McMinnville died Tuesday, Sept. 24 at Raintree Manor Nursing Center in McMinnville.
She was born July 3, 1931 in Warren County and was a retired employee of both Genesco and B&P Lamp Supply, and a member of First United Methodist Church. Mrs. Medlen was preceded in death by parents, William Carroll and Vinnie Shelton Davis; her husband of 61 years Charlie Milton Medlen; sisters, Dorothy McCarty, Gladys Brison, Vivian Cobb, and Shellie Cagle; and brother Howard Davis.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Jewel Medlen of Morrison; granddaughters, Becky Medlen of Morrison and her fiancée Joey Clark, and Tracey and husband Brian Scott of McMinnville; several nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.
Funeral service is 2 p.m. Thursday at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Robert H. (Bob) Case and elder Leonard Herman will officiate. Interment will follow at Caney Branch Cemetery. The Medlen family will receive friends Wednesday from 2 to 8 p.m., and again Thursday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the parlors of McMinnville Funeral Home.
