Douglas Chisam, 76, formerly of North Little Rock, Ark., died March 27 at his home in Watertown. He was preceded in death by his father Silas Chisam; his mother, Martha, and three sisters.He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Janet Johnson Chisam, two daughters Mila (Derek) Povah and Wendi Chisam; two sons Darren and Tracey Chisam; two grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, four step great-grandchildren and among his relatives his cousins Roy and Nell Chisam of McMinnville.He was retired after 32 years with the Missouri Pacific/Union Pacific Railroads while at the same time became one of the first USA Caucasian Grand Masters in Shotokan Karate (JKA) with a 8th degree black belt and was a veteran of the Army National Guard.He is to be cremated with a small service of scattering his ashes in Tennessee.This information is provided as a courtesy of McMinnville Funeral Home.Southern Standard(McMinnville, Tenn.)
