Dorothy DuBois Hall, 86, of McMinnville, died Sunday, May 14, at her residence.
She was born Jan. 21, 1931 in Warren County, was a homemaker, past president of Ladies Auxiliary Christian Education at Boyd Christian School, former member of the Red Hat Society, member of Senior Friends, Westwood Singers and a member of Westwood Church of Christ. Mrs. Hall was a graduate of Tennessee Technological University and was preceded in death by parents, J.B. and Lucille Vann DuBois Sr., husband James H. Hall Sr., brother J.B. (Bill) DuBois Jr. and wife, Dot, and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Bettye Rose and Ernie Ashworth.
Survivors include her children, James H. Hall Jr. and wife, Patricia, David R. Hall and John B. Hall, grandchildren, Linda Dunn, Tina Hall, James Joseph Hall, Zachery Hall and Emily Hall, great-grandchildren, Ozzie and Emmalyne Scott, Miles and Madison Dunn and Scarlett Scott, and special friends Darryl (Alli) Collins and Hayden and Alice Glenn. Several nieces, nephews, family members and friends also survive.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 18, at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Richard O’Connor will officiate. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery. The Hall family will receive friends Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m., and again Thursday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the parlors of McMinnville Funeral Home.
