McMinnville resident and DeKalb County native Donald Calvin Terry, 89, was born Jan. 12,1933 and died April 21 at NHC Healthcare in McMinnville following a brief illness.       

A Korean War veteran of the United States Navy, graduate of Tennessee Tech University, retired engineer from Oster Corporation and a member of Christ United Methodist Church, he was the son of the late Felix and Shelby West Terry. He was married to Frankie Neal Terry of McMinnville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by first wife Maxine Young Terry and son Gary Terry.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Terry is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Staphana and Billy Gay of McMinnville, two grandchildren, Brittany Wilhoite of Shelbyville, and Travis and fiancee’, Maggie Wibright of Nashville, two great-grandchildren, Madison Wihoite and Katie Wihoite and stepdaughter, Donna Casey Davis of Corpus Christi, Texas.

Graveside service and interment will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 24, at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Warren County with Sommer Worley officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at High’s. Online condolences may be made at www.highfuneralhome.com.
