Viola resident and Warren County native D.L. Bouldin, 79, was born Aug. 21, 1932 and died July 27 at his residence following an extended illness.A general contractor and member of Viola Methodist Church, he was the son of the late Everett and Cleo Kell Bouldin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Winford Bouldin; brother-in-law, Jack Smithson; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Arch and Evelyn Whitaker, and brothers-in-law, Phillip Whitaker and Steve Hamlin.He was married to Beth Whitaker Bouldin of Viola. In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children and their spouses, David L. and Jackie Bouldin of Allen, Texas, Cathy Walker of Cookeville, Keith and Kathy Bouldin of McMinnville, and Darrell Bouldin of Murfreesboro; nine grandchildren and their spouses, Dave Bouldin, Angela and Jaime Barrazza, Christopher and Jaime Bouldin, Laura and Michael Gibson, Daniel, Eric and Bonnie Kate Walker, Kristin Bouldin and Adam and Samantha Bouldin; six great-grandchildren; two sisters and brother-in-law, Gladys and John Blanks of Hixson, and Bessie Smithson of Morrison; two brothers and sisters-in-law, A.P. and Sandra Bouldin and Carl and Marcia Bouldin both of Viola; two sisters-in-law, Eva Sue Bouldin and Christine Bouldin both of the Vervilla Community; sister-in-law, Sherry Ladd and husband George of Williamsport, and two brothers-in-law, Bruce Hamlin and wife Pat of Jonesboro, Ark., and Archie Kerr Whitaker of Camden.Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at High’s Chapel with Steve Breedlove, Jason Brown and Sherry Ladd officiating.
