Murfreesboro resident and Warren County native Diane Michelle Mabe Simmons, 39, was born Jan. 2, 1973 and died Aug. 3 at Alive Hospice in Nashville following an extended illness. A homemaker, she was the daughter of Roy Mabe of McMinnville and the late Nancy Elizabeth Johnson Willis.She was married Jan. 4, 2006 to Tony Simmons of Murfreesboro. In addition to her husband and father, she is survived by two children, Robert Anthony Simmons and Matthew Dewayne Simmons, both of Murfreesboro; stepmother, Georgia Mabe of McMinnville; brother, Jonathan Willis of Norfolk, Va.; three sisters, Margie Evelyn “Susie” Fitts and Jennifer Leighann Stockling, both of McMinnville and Daphne Diane Evans of Bone Cave; and three nieces and four nephews.A memorial service was held Tuesday High’s Chapel with Jason Nunley officiating.
