McMinnville resident and DeKalb County native Delcie Mae “Penny” Ervin, 87, was born Sept. 13, 1924 and died Nov. 26 at her residence following a four-month illness. A homemaker, a prayer warrior and member of the Pentecostal faith, she was the daughter of the late James Lee and Etter Green Bain. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Ervin; three children, Geneva McClellan, Arthur Ervin, Peggy Adamson and Margaret Smith; grandson, Douglas Smith and siblings, Hurbert Bain, Bobby Bain, Rubin Bain, Lonnie Bain and Minnie Farless.
