Clayta Rhea Taylor, 68, of McMinnville died Sunday, Dec. 16 at Baptist Hospital in Nashville after an extended illness.Born in McMinnville on Oct. 11, 1944, she was a daughter of the late Malliory M (Slatten) and James G. Adcock. She was a member of Dayspring non-denominational Church of McMinnville and worked as a LPN.She is survived by her husband Robert C. Taylor of McMinnville; daughter, Kelly E. Taylor of Murfreesboro; two sons Joe T. Martin of McMinnville; Micah J. Taylor and fiancé Emily Dodson of McMinnville; two sisters, Joyce F. and husband Paul Raptis of Woodbury; Bettye S., and husband Joe Wooden of McMinnville; brother, Joe G., and wife Marilyn Adcock of Augusta, Ga.; good friend and caretaker Sherrye Oliver of Cookeville; five granddaughters and two great-grandsonsShe was preceded in death by her parents, James and Malliory (Slatten) Adcock, two infant children, Ricky D. Martin and Scott L. Taylor.A memorial service will be held at Gardens of Memory Funeral Home Chapel at 5 p.m. today with Jackie Matheny officiating.
