Christine Bryson Mingle, 96, died Monday, Sept. 25 at her home in Woodbury. She was a native of Cannon County.She is survived by her children, Wendell (Rita) Mingle of Murfreesboro, Virginia Rogers and Brenda Hawk, both of Woodbury; 12 grandchildren, Gregg Mingle, Khadijah (Chris) Frazier, Lisa (Steve) Stone, Denise (Rick) Davis, Kenny Simmons (Miranda Finchum) Kasey (A.J.) Troupe, Cindy Hillis (Carlton Hobbs) Christy (Ahmed) Olfat, LeAnn (Art) Hancock, Tommy Rogers, Mike (Sherry) Mingle, Tammy (Jeff) Meyer; 28 great-grandchildren, 22 great-great-grandchildren and 26 nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Samuel and Nora Duggin Bryson; husband, James Mingle; sons, Wayne Mingle and infant, James Lee Mingle; great-granddaughter, Alissa Olfat and great-grandson, Kyler Haggard; siblings, Willie (Edith) Bryson, Josie (Comer) Alexander, Belle (Ray) Smith, Cleo (Lehman) Nichols, Sammie Lee (Paul) Mingle.Ms. Mingle grew up and went to school in the Sanders Fork Community. She married James Mingle in 1940 and he preceded her in death in 1981.
