Chatham Morford Ross, 82, a Warren County native, was born May 29, 1934 and died May 13 in Hayward, Calif.He was the son of Lee Denton Ross and Mary Potter Ross of McMinnville. He was preceded in death by his wife, Julia Ann Ward on Jan. 7, 2007.Survivors include two children, Diana Marie Ross Barty and Chatham Morford Ross Jr.; three grandchildren, and sister and brother-in-law, Mary L. Ross Lee and Charles W. Lee of Lexington, N.C.A memorial service will be held outside of Winston-Salem, N.C., at a later date.
