McMinnville resident and Dayton, Ohio native Charles Eugene Hunter, 62, was born June 26, 1959, and died March 11 at his residence following a short illness.           

A supervisor with Star Mfg., he was the son of the late Eugene and Edna Fay Masters Hunter.  He was married to Suzanne Golden Hunter of McMinnville on Sept. 9, 2000.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Hunter is also survived by six children, Shannon Melton of McMinnville, Ashley and Randall Petty of McMinnville, Alicia and Greg Downard of Tullahoma, Charles Eugene and Lindsay Hunter Jr. of McMinnville, Chance Hunter of McMinnville, and Kyle Summers of Mobile, Ala., eight grandchildren, Jonathan, Alexis, Ethan, Jaden, Jordan, Hunter, Holden and Harper, three sisters and brother-in-law Shelia Hunter of McMinnville, Frances and Rick Humphrey of Crossville, and Amy Hunter of McMinnville and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, March 14, at High’s Chapel with Mickey Ralph and Jeff Lance officiating. Per Mr. Hunter’s request, he will be cremated after the service. Visitation will be Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m., and Monday from 9 a.m. until time of service at High Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Midway CIC.
