Charles “Chuck” Frederick Brown went home to be with the Lord on Jan. 25.
He was a devoted husband, loving father and faithful shepherd of Heritage Place Church of Christ. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Francie Spain Brown of Hoover, Ala.; daughter, Dessa Brown Medley of Hoover; son, Johnny Brown (Jinny) of Jennings, Fla.; grandsons, Jonathan Medley of Hoover and Greyson Brown of Jennings, Fla.; brother, Gary Brown (Gloria) of Chattanooga; nephew, Jeff Brown (Susie) of Murfreesboro; brothers-in-law, Joe Spain, Jr (Joan) of McMinnville; Tommy Spain (Benita) of Shelbyville and Jimmy Spain (Jackie) of Huntsville, Ala.,  as well as numerous nieces, nephews, friends and “family” at Heritage Place Church of Christ and Inverness Country Club.  
He was preceded in death by his mother, Evelyn Hobbs; stepfather, Joe Hobbs; father, Samuel Brown; and nephew Tim Brown.
A memorial gathering will be held at Heritage Place Church of Christ on Saturday at noon with a visitation beginning at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Heritage Place Church of Christ Building Fund, 5252 Highway 78, Birmingham, Ala., 35210.
