Morrison resident Carl Douglas Jacobs Jr., 65, died Dec. 30.Retired from Carrier, he was a member of Morrison United Methodist Church where he served as a Sunday school teacher for over 30 years. He was also a member of Morrison Ruritan and was active in many community activities.The son of the late Carl Douglas and Muriel Casey Jacobs Sr., he is survived by his wife, Marian Jacobs; children, Beth and Steve Wilbur of Chesapeake, Va., Carla and Eric Clay of Pelham, Amanda and Chris Gibbs of McMinnville; seven grandchildren, Mary Beth Langford, Emily Barton, Nancy George, J.R. Clay, Erica Clay, Maddie Gibbs and Scarlett Gibbs; four great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Mike and Marsha Jacobs of McMinnville, Joey and Debbie Jacobs of Brentwood; sister and brother-in-law, Abbe and Brian Hale of Brentwood; several nieces and nephews; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Nancy and Mike Chilcutt.Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at High’s Chapel with Stacy Cowan and Lanny Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Bascom Cemetery.
