Bob Curtis, 75, of McMinnville died Wednesday, Jan. 1 at his residence. He was the son of the late Landy Lee and Lucille Evans Curtis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by granddaughter, Kimberly Curtis; grandson, Robby R. Curtis; two brothers, Davie and Arthur Curtis; and two sisters, Jessie Dunn and Ruth Adkins. He was a member of Providence Baptist Church and retired from the DeKalb County Highway Department. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Evie Curtis of McMinnville; three sons, Bobby J. Curtis Jr., Ronnie J. Curtis and Ricky L. and his wife Jenni, all of McMinnville; eight grandchildren, Bobby J. Curtis III, Julie N. McCormack, Laura C. Curtis, Christina M. Curtis, Rachel D. Gay, Cory Curtis, Ricky L. Curtis Jr., Landy R. Curtis; 23 great-grandchildren; brother, Roger and his wife Polly of Florida; sister, Betty and her husband Kenny Laboe of Smithville. Funeral services were held Saturday at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Steve Brown officiating. Interment followed in Providence Cemetery in the Lucky community.
