McMinnville resident and Warren County native Bluford (Hal) Owens Jr., 65, died May 20 at his home after an extended illness.An assembly worker with Carrier, he was the son of the late Bluford Halbert and Ruby Pearl Owens and was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Nannalene Smith Owens; daughter, Cheryl Lynn Owens and brother, Dale Wayne Owens.He is survived by sons, Gregory and Chris Owens; granddaughter, Macey Leann Owens of McMinnville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Judy Elaine and Johnny Sparkman of McMinnville, Betty Marie and Russ Cook of Florida; several nieces, nephews and in-laws.Services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at High’s Chapel with Michael Harris officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory. Visitation will be held from noon to 9 p.m. today and 10 a.m. until time of service Thursday at High’s.High Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.Southern Standard (McMinnville, Tenn.)
