Billy Leon Hillis, 74, of McMinnville died Thursday, March 3 at Saint Thomas River Park Hospital.
He was born March 12, 1941, in McMinnville and was retired from retail sales in the grocery business. He was preceded in death by parents, Bill and Sue Green Cardwell.
Survivors include his children, William Gregory and wife Alison Holt-Hillis and Kelli Rae Bishop-Bendle and husband, Rick; grandchildren, Casandra Bishop, Ashlyn Bishop, Will Holt-Hillis, and Meaghan Holt-Hillis, and sister Rose Southard. Other family members and friends also survive.
A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Bethany Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the parlors of McMinnville Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made at www.mcminnvillefuneralhome.com.
