Betty Sue Brown, 83, a Lawrenceburg, Ky., resident and Warren County native, died Feb. 14 in Frankfort Regional Medical Center following a short illness.She was a retired employee of the state of Tennessee Department of Employment Security, member of First Baptist Church, McMinnville and daughter of the late Emmitt Fred and Anice Quarles Phillips Sr. She was married to Calvin Brown Sr., who preceded her in death. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brothers, E. Fred Phillips Jr., Paul and Doyle Phillips and granddaughter, Julie Womack. Mrs. Brown is survived by children, Diane (Richey) Womack of Lawrenceburg, Ky., Dave Brown of McMinnville and Lydia (Joey) Wilcher of Rock Island; seven grandchildren, Chad (Amy) Womack, Brandon (Emy) Womack and Ashley Womack of Lawrenceburg, Ky., Ben Brown, Corey Brown and Jessica Wilcher of McMinnville and Derek (Brandy) Wilcher of Rock Island; special niece, Ellen Hankal of McMinnville, great-grandchildren, Ethan Womack, Brady Womack, Ryan Womack and Allie Womack of Lawrenceburg, Ky., and Titus Wilcher of Rock Island; sister, Ann (Wayne) Love of Murfreesboro, and several nieces and nephews.
