Barbara Jean Chambers, 78, passed away Saturday, Oct. 5. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Eula Mae Meeks and brother Johnny Meeks.

Barbara is survived by her children James Randall (Carolyn) Tigue, Douglas Eugene (Patsy) Tigue, John Michael (Kathy) Tigue, Harold Edward (Yolanda) Tigue Jr., and Jeffery Lynn (Melisa) Tigue; grandchildren Jody Madewell, Zachary Tyler Tigue, Kristina Tigue and Christian Tigue; seven great-grandchildren, her loving companion of many years, Larry Mullens; sister, Stella (Bob Garrison) Marsh; nieces Vicki Marsh and Johni Meeks, and nephew Royce Marsh.

Barbara was a member of Highland Park Church in Nashville and held the highest honor with the WOTM, the College of Regents degree.

A visitation will be held in Nashville on Wednesday from 3 to 8 p.m. at West Harpeth Funeral Home on Charlotte Pike. Mrs. Chambers will then be taken to High Funeral Home in McMinnville for a visitation on Thursday from 3 to 8 p.m., with a celebration of life on Friday at 10 a.m. in High’s Chapel. Pastor Dale Robble will officiate the service. Interment will follow at Mt. View Cemetery in McMinnville.
