Amanda Adcock Myers Williams, 82, of Doyle died Friday morning, Aug. 22, at Saint Thomas Midtown Hospital Nashville.
She was born Nov. 25, 1931 in White County to the late Thomas E. and Willie Pasco Howard Adcock. She was a former shirt factory worker and convenience store owner. She was a member of Sparta First Freewill Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by husbands Robert “Bobby” Myers and Paul Williams; brothers Dick Adcock and Ray Adcock; and sister Shirley Jean Adcock.
Survivors include her two daughters, Shirley Denton and husband Jimmy of Doyle, Tammy Myers of Livingston; grandchildren, Bobbie Wakefield of Doyle, Chad Holder and wife Michele of Sparta, Jessica Simmons and husband Nathan of Cleveland; great-grandchildren: Alex Holder and Colby Wakefield; stepson David Williams and wife Susan of McMinnville; sisters, Nell Martin, Loretta Walling and husband Pete, Gertrude McBride and husband Jerry, Dimple McBride and husband Gary; sister-in-law: Rebecca Adcock; several nieces and nephews also survive
Funeral service was 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 23, at Sparta First Freewill Baptist Church with burial at Greenwood Cemetery. Paul Roberts and Gary Farris officiated.
Hunter Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
