Spreading laughter
T.C. Cope will be performing his stand-up comedy routine this Friday night, Sept. 20, at the Park Theater beginning at 7 p.m.

T.C. Cope will be returning home to bring laughs and life lessons to the Park Theatre stage this Friday night while performing his “Laughing is Living” stand-up comedy act.

Originally from outside of New York City, Cope grew up in McMinnville and uses his past experiences gained from family gatherings as a time to act silly. Friends and family would be entertained by Cope’s local imitations.

Cope believes in using laughter as a survival technique and has brought that message to his audience as the basis of “Laughing is Living.” Cope delivers a combination of Southern and city-style humor.

He uses humor as a way to teach the crowd responsible lessons and to do the right thing. Since dedicating his heart to being a comedian, Cope has touched people everywhere with his message.

“He has performed really nice shows at the Park Theater before,” said Park Theater manager Kevin Roberts. “He has roots in McMinnville and is one of the most popular comedians in Middle Tennessee. We are very excited to have him back for a third time.”

Cope has worked with comedians such as Bernie Mac, D.L. Hughley, Adele Givens and a host of others. He is a regular performer at Zanies in Nashville. Cope has also been involved in a TV show, “The Comedy Thang,” which aired two pilot shows.

The performance will take place at 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 20. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at the Park Theater box office by calling 931-506-2787 or by visiting
