Makayla Keli Danyel Cagle won the favor of the judges during Friday night’s 2019 Teen Fairest of the Fair competition from a field of 26 young ladies.
The 13-year-old said she was shocked to hear her name being called by the judges.
“I couldn’t believe it when they called out my name,” said Cagle. “I can’t stop shaking. Look at my hands. This was a wonderful experience and I’m looking forward to my time as queen.”
Cagle is the daughter of Leann Cagle and Kurt Lusk. She is in eighth grade at Warren County Middle School.
Her court: first runner-up Jera Shae Jones, 13, the daughter of Erica Jones; second runner-up Jaylian Olivia Jones, 13, daughter of Jason and Tanya Jones; third runner-up Abbigale Lynn Judkins, 14, granddaughter of Larry and Phyllis Judkins.
In addition to the court, others in the coveted top 10 list were: Maggie Elaine Garrett, daughter of Todd and Sheri Garrett; Shayla Raine Crawford, daughter of Justin Crawford and Brandi Gipson; Prairie Rein Mitchell, daughter of Jason and Amy Mitchell; Alexandria Riley Bonner, daughter of Sam and Kim Bonner; Katherine Grace Sparkman, daughter of Josh and Katherine Sparkman; and Caitlyn Grace Adams, daughter of Travis and Glenda Martin.
