Local Applebee's program to benefit animal control

Woodland Group, Inc. (WGI), an Applebee’s franchise group in Tennessee and Kentucky, is asking customers to order carry out at their local Applebee’s to benefit local animal charities.
The carryout event, Paws for Carside, is now in its 13th year.
Paws for Carside runs on Mondays and Tuesdays between April 27 and May 23 at Applebee’s restaurant in McMinnville. Participating Applebee’s will donate 10 percent of Carside To-Go sales to local organizations working to care for animals and find them good homes. The McMinnville Applebee’s local recipient is Warren County Animal Control.
The proceeds will support these animal shelters in supplying food, medical supplies, housing and basic necessities for local animals that have been abused, neglected, or are simply in need of tender love and care.
This annual fundraising event helps shelters stock up on food and supplies.
But more importantly, Paws for Carside aims to help raise awareness of animal abuse and neglect.
“We are proud to contribute to our community Paws for Carside partners so we can help them continue their cause. All pets deserve a caring and loving home, and our partners dedicate themselves to this,” said Mike Baldwin, vice president of operations at Woodland Group, Inc. “For the past 13 years, the pet owners and animal lovers on our team have been honored to participate in the cause through Paws for Carside.”
Guests are encouraged to bring their pets to pick up their Carside To-Go orders throughout the promotion.
