Prepare for chilling thrills at Lake WinnepeSPOOKah. For the younger set, there will be plenty of fun, laughter and surprises all over the park.

Lake Winnepesaukah Amusement Park has been thrilling guests for over 90 years with attractions like the Cannon Ball Roller Coaster and the OH-Zone! In October, however, the family amusement park keeps the excitement going with different kinds of thrills and chills! It's hair-raising Halloween fun for boys & ghouls of all ages at Lake WinnepeSPOOKah!
Enjoy an atmosfear of haunted rides, eerie edibles, & screaming thrills throughout this SPOOKtacular Halloween Event. Lake WinnepeSPOOKah scares up creepy delights and frightening fun on Friday & Saturday nights in October for ghosts of every generation!
"This year, the legend of Lakeford the Clown comes to terrifying life during WinnepeSPOOKah," stated Talley Green of Lake Winnepesaukah. "It appears there was once a circus on the grounds that Lake Winnepesaukah now stands on, and its performers met a gruesome end at the demented hands of their leader, Lakeford," added Green. Now, in 2016, the spirits of these victims are making themselves seen and heard throughout Lake WinnepeSPOOKah. As for Lakeford, Green discreetly offered: "We've been told the authorities never located his remains."
New in 2016, guests of Lake WinnepeSPOOKah can be immersed in the dark surprises that await in the Feargrounds! They will feel, see, and hear the haunting after-effects of Lakeford the Clown's twisted terrors and imagination. "When walking through the Feargrounds, catch your breath when you can," warned Green. "Someone or something - is lying in wait to steal it from you around every turn."
The faint of heart need not fear, for along with the terrifying scares of the Feargrounds, there will be plenty of fun, laughter and surprises all over the park for all ages to enjoy. The parks popular antique Carrousel, stomach-churning Twister, and other rides will be open for guests to enjoy under the night sky. Lake WinnepeSPOOKah opens its ghostly gates on Friday & Saturday evenings, Oct. 21, 22, 28, & 29, from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. and Sunday evenings, Oct. 23 & 30, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Rob Nunley photo The Morrison Elementary Cheerleaders won both the school sponsored division and the people's choice award at Saturday's McMinnville Christmas Parade.

The McMinnville Christmas Parade was held Saturday, featuring 107 entries and lasting approximately one hour. Winning in the business category were Ben Lomand Connect, first place; Prater's BBQ, second. 

Church/civic group/community organization/large non-profit winners were Warren County Sheriff's Office, first; The Vine Baptist Church, second; and Smartt Assembly of God, third. 

School sponsored winners were Morrison Cheerleaders, first place and people's choice award winners; Motlow State Community College, second; and F.C. Boyd Christian School, third.

Small club/non-profit winners were Girl Scout Troop 839, first; Ride N Drive Club, second; and McMinnville Saddle Club, third.

Horse rider club/mule or horse and hitch winners were Saddle Club, first; and Bruce Bush, second.

Antique car winners were Ride N Drive Club, first; Ryan J. Moore, second; and Frank Bond, third.

Most Unusual Vehicle winners were Ride N Drive Club, first; Donald Schott, second; and Tom Davis for Congress, third.

Winning the best band category was the Warren County High School Marching Band.
