Guys and dolls of all ages take time on the dance floor at last year's Father-Daughter Date Night. The 20th event is set for Feb. 6, with tickets going on sale at the Civic Center and at First National Bank's main branch.

Tickets for the 20th annual Father-Daughter Date Night will go on sale tomorrow at First National Bank’s main branch and McMinnville Civic Center.
The memorable event will be held Feb. 6 at the Civic Center, with 400 tickets available. Tickets are priced at $60 per couple, and $30 for each additional person.
The night starts with a delicious sit-down dinner, followed by dance music provided by a disc jockey. Memorable photographs will be made, with four photo booths complete with fun props available this year.
“We had just one photo booth last year, and it was such a hit the decision was made to add more,” said bank marketing assistant Lauren Wilcher.
A sweet Candy Land theme will be used this year with lots of candy displays decorating the gymnasium. Cupcake centerpieces are planned to grace the tables, adding to the effect.
David Marttala, general counsel and senior vice president at First National, is looking forward to another year at the dance with his daughters.
“I took daughter Shelby to the second one,” said Marttala. “Somehow we missed the first one, and she was disappointed. We made sure to get tickets to the next one.”
He has attended most of the date nights, taking Shelby, 23, and Lilly, 18, to the memorable event. Both girls are making plans to attend this year’s party with their dad.
“I think it is a great opportunity for dads to do something with their daughters,” said Marttala. “Lots of times we do sports or hunting with our sons, and this is a special night we can share with our daughters.”
The first date night was held in the gymnasium at Bobby Ray Memorial, and later moved to the Civic Center. Tickets sold out quickly at $30.
The event was the brainchild of Kathy and Keith Bouldin, planning a fun and memorable night for girls of all ages.
First National Bank of Middle Tennessee is the event organizer and welcomes sponsors Ben Lomand Connect, Bob’s Central Air Condition and Carrier, Dr Pepper, Harold Martin, McMinnville Parks and Recreation, St. Thomas River Park Hospital, Southern Insurance, Sullens Transport, Topz Yogurt and Metro Deli and Womack Printing Company.
