Horace Vandergelder, a wealthy merchant in 19th Century Yonkers, N.Y., decides to take a wife and employs a matchmaker, Mrs. Dolly Levi. Dolly subsequently becomes involved with two of Vandergelder’s clerks, several lovely ladies, and the headwaiter at an expensive restaurant where this swift farce runs headlong into hilarious complications. After everyone gets straightened out romantically, Vandergelder finds himself engaged to marry the astute Dolly Levi herself.

Brick Fest Live!
Brick Fest Live makes its Tennessee debut at the Williamson County Ag Expo Park on Jan. 21-22. LEGO-loving families are invited to get inspired, educated, and entertained with over 50,000 square feet of LEGO fun!  Tickets are available now at www.brickfestlive.com.
Brick Fest Live, the largest touring LEGO show in the United States, features mind-blowing creations made entirely of this timeless toy, challenge and build areas, and the largest LEGO vendor market anywhere featuring favorite sets, custom creations, and ultra-rare items.
“Brick Fest Live was created to increase awareness that science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) are all in play when it comes to LEGO and other construction toys,” says Brick Fest Live founder Chad Collins. “At Brick Fest Live, families build together to accomplish their goals and find creative solutions—all while inspiring the next generation of artists, engineers and leaders.”
Brick Fest Live will be held Jan. 21-22 at the Williamson County Ag Expo Park in nearby Franklin.  Tickets are available for four-hour play sessions or all-day VIP passes at brickfestlive.com.

Rob Nunley photo The Morrison Elementary Cheerleaders won both the school sponsored division and the people's choice award at Saturday's McMinnville Christmas Parade.

The McMinnville Christmas Parade was held Saturday, featuring 107 entries and lasting approximately one hour. Winning in the business category were Ben Lomand Connect, first place; Prater's BBQ, second. 

Church/civic group/community organization/large non-profit winners were Warren County Sheriff's Office, first; The Vine Baptist Church, second; and Smartt Assembly of God, third. 

School sponsored winners were Morrison Cheerleaders, first place and people's choice award winners; Motlow State Community College, second; and F.C. Boyd Christian School, third.

Small club/non-profit winners were Girl Scout Troop 839, first; Ride N Drive Club, second; and McMinnville Saddle Club, third.

Horse rider club/mule or horse and hitch winners were Saddle Club, first; and Bruce Bush, second.

Antique car winners were Ride N Drive Club, first; Ryan J. Moore, second; and Frank Bond, third.

Most Unusual Vehicle winners were Ride N Drive Club, first; Donald Schott, second; and Tom Davis for Congress, third.

Winning the best band category was the Warren County High School Marching Band.
