Buckeye Home Medical Equipment celebrates
BuckeyeWEB
Chamber of Commerce president Mandy Eller, left, and McMinnville Mayor Jimmy Haley, right, officially welcome the staff of Buckeye Home Medical Equipment to town during a grand opening ceremony Friday. The business is located at 632 N. Chancery Street in Village Shopping Center. The phone number is 474-2825.

There are all types of devices aimed at making our lives easier. If you need a little assistance around the house to help you through everyday living, Buckeye Home Medical Equipment has opened its doors at Village Shopping Center on The Strip.
Buckeye expanded into McMinnville in December and held its official grand opening celebration Friday.
Buckeye offers big-ticket items like hospital beds, wheelchairs and walkers, but there are also smaller items like braces, pediatric nebulizers, pillows and compression stockings.
Buckeye sells a lot of home safety products and bath safety products. It even has bling for your walker.
This is the sixth Buckeye location. The company had already been serving 90 to 100 oxygen customers in this area from its Cookeville office. In addition to oxygen, there is a respiratory therapist who is on call 24 hours a day.
If you’re in need of diabetic shoes, they don’t have to be the unattractive. If you get them from Buckeye, they can look like hip running shoes.
Another product is a guardian alert system older residents can wear around the neck and activate in case of emergency. The guardian alert system is economical because all you have to do is buy the product. There is no monthly fee. All that’s required is a landline.
If you’re struggling to get a restful night’s sleep, there are bed wedges which can elevate your feet or your head to put you in position to enjoy sweet dreams. For people who are sedentary but would still like to get some exercise there is a nifty pedaling device you use while sitting.
Buckeye offers all sorts of handy devices that can be of great assistance such as lift chairs and breast pumps.
Retail store hours are Monday thru Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The phone number is 474-2825.
