If you need a job, mark Monday, Aug. 16 on your calendar.

A job fair is coming to Milner Recreation Center at 500 Garfield Street from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The job fair is being organized by American Job Center, which is Tennessee’s state employment agency, and the local Chamber of Commerce.

Those interested in landing a job are encouraged to bring a resume, dress appropriately, and prepare for a brief interview. There are already 13 employers who have registered to participate.

“Employers are screaming for employees right now so we’re doing what we can to help,” said Tim Hunt, a representative with the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development. “Because of the space we have available and wanting to keep tables fairly spread out, we’re going to cap it at 17 total employers and I think we’ll get there.”

Hunt said the job fair will be held in the expanded aerobics room at Milner Recreation Center, formerly McMinnville Civic Center. He said he has measured the room and determined it can hold a max of 17 vendors comfortably.

The job fair will include some of Warren County’s largest industrial employers such as Bridgestone, Yorozu and Morrison Industries.

It will be the community’s second job fair in the past three months. The Chamber of Commerce conducted a job fair in June at Three Star Mall which didn’t have the large turnout organizers were expecting.
