A burglar who was caught red-handed invading a home on Lance Street told the surprised resident she was “just chilling” before she absconded with a bag full of stolen property.The suspect, Alexis L. Officer, 26, was charged with aggravated burglary after she was captured a short distance from the scene of the crime with the stolen goods still in her possession.Officer’s charges come after she was caught inside a house by the resident.“The resident heard footsteps in the next bedroom,” said Joseph Vabommel in his report on the incident. “She opened the door and saw a woman inside her house she did not know. She asked the woman what she was doing in her house and the woman responded she was ‘just chilling.’”At that point the woman reportedly mumbled something and then went past the victim into her bedroom.
