West Tenn. woman charged in child death

BELLS, Tenn. (AP) — Authorities have charged a young West Tennessee woman with first-degree murder and aggravated rape in the death of her boyfriend's young daughter. Molly Jane Roe is accused in the death of 17-month-old Maleeya Marie Murley, who died Saturday night at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, according to The Jackson Sun. An police affidavit states the 24-year-old Roe threw the child on June 7. Doctors found head injuries and severe bruising of the child's pelvic area.
