The Warren County A&L Fair is definitely a visual experience, but what we would lose if we didn’t have those distinctive and exciting sounds that help make up the whole experience?Public radio 91.3 WCPI will be sharing selected sounds from the 58th fair in a series of audio vignettes airing through Friday.Sounds ranging from congregational singing in the historic Antioch Church of Christ to the eruption of cheers and applause when the Fairest of the Fair court was announced – these and many other sounds we hear only once every year will be broadcast on the following schedule: • Monday 9:30 a.m., 1:05 p.m.• Tuesday 11:05 a.m., 3:05 and 6:05 p.m. • Wednesday 9:30 a.m., 3:05 and 5:30 p.m. • Thursday 11:05 a.m., 3:05 p.m.• Friday 9:30 a.m., 6:05 p.m.Among the other vignettes will be an interview with a curator of one of the fair’s most popular features – the snakes and other wildlife in the TWRA exhibit – and a Warren County High School Band Boosters volunteer describing one of the most unusual food offerings on the Midway, the Elvis sandwich.
