A project expected to cost nearly three quarters of a million dollars is under way at Warren County Middle School in hopes of making the institution more energy efficient.Specifically, the project will affect the middle school related arts building which sits behind the main school building.“The units are more efficient than what we have,” said Director of Schools Bobby Cox during the last School Board meeting. The new system will replace the outdated system which is currently serving the building. One major upside, Cox said, is the proposed units would each be entirely housed in the classrooms. This would allow controls from every room.Leaving such control of energy use in the individual hands of those in the various rooms was worrisome to some School Board members since some might like rooms hotter or colder than others.
