A new certification being offered at Warren County High School will have its students on the fast track into the health care industry.The certification will be in the nursing industry, specifically that of Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). The new program will allow enrollees to graduate and obtain the CNA while in high school.According to WCHS health science instructor Lequita Maxwell, there will be 15 hand-selected students who will get to participate in the program this year.“It will include an internship in a clinical setting,” Maxwell said. “It will be a hands-on experience.”Maxwell said the students will spend a good deal of time at Raintree Manor honing their nursing skills.
