With many Warren County residents left without power, Warren County High School’s gym was transformed into an emergency shelter for anyone seeking a warm place to stay.The American Red Cross selected Warren County as a site for the emergency shelter because so many residents in this area were without electricity after Monday’s storm.“We’d hate for somebody to be staying in a cold house with no place to go,” said Warren County Emergency Management Agency director Jim Cunningham. “This gives people an option. We know nobody wants to stay at a shelter, but we wanted to make one available if needed.”Red Cross disaster action team captain James Goodman was on hand to spearhead the emergency shelter.
