WCHS guard ready for clinic, tryouts

The Warren County High School guard is associated in the fall with the WCHS marching band. During the winter months, guard members perform to recorded music and compete at various high schools in the Southeast.
The guard is holding a clinic and tryouts April 16-19 at WCHS gymnasium. All interested persons are invited to attend. The events are open to students in grades 7-11.
This year, the group is performing to “Bulletproof” by LA Roux. The very upbeat, entertaining show has been a crowd pleaser. The girls have chosen to use bright colors and a festive costume to enhance their performance.
So far this year, the winter guard has attended three competitions and placed at each.
In January, the guard earned second place at Page High School. In February, the team earned third place at Independence High School. And March 17, the squad brought home first place at Ravenwood High School.
The WCHS guard is attending the 2012 championships today at Belmont University.
